A simple and moist Chocolate Cake recipe with whipped, chocolatey & silky smooth chocolate icing / frosting. Both, the cake and the icing / frosting are so easy to make. It makes for a stunning birthday cake. This chocolate cake recipe is easy and quick to make and tastes delicious. Homemade cakes can be a scary thing for many people. This chocolate cake recipe ideally skips all of the typical fuss and stress around baking a cake. A simplified chocolate cake base with a perfectly rich chocolate icing / frosting. Just right to give you the sugar crash you desire.



Ingredients Of Chocolate Cake: Cake Mix: 4 Eggs. 2 Cups All Purpose Flour. 1 Cup Sugar. 2 tsp Baking Powder. 1/4 tsp Baking Soda. 1 tbs Vanilla Essence. 1/2 Cup Oil. 1/2 Cup Hot Water. Chocolate Syrup: 1 Cup Milk. 60g Chocolate. Chocolate Icing / Frosting: 240g Thick / Heavy Cream. 240g Chocolate. Some Candies For Additional Cake Decoration. Grated Chocolate And Sprinkles For Topping.

Method:

Beat eggs until fluffed. Add all cake mix ingredients as mentioned. Beat / mix all the ingredients well. Pour this prepared cake mix in a baking pan, tap to remove bubbles and bake it at 150C for 30-40 minutes or until knife comes out clean. Time of baking varies oven to oven, so don't worry.
Let the baked cake cool down. Meanwhile prepare chocolate syrup, chocolate icing and additional cake décor.
For chocolate syrup, mix milk and chocolate together on lowest heat. Remove from heat once milk and chocolate got mixed, keep aside and let it cool down for later use.
For chocolate icing / frosting, microwave heavy cream and chocolate, mix it and then beat this cream and chocolate mixture until fluffed. For desired consistency keep this whipped mixture in refrigerator for about 1/2 hour and then beat it again. Chocolate icing / frosting is ready. Keep the frosting in fridge before use.
For additional décor, take some candies (toffies), place them on butter paper in groups of small flowers and let them melt in oven. Please watch video for detail.
Now cut cake in layers. Pour over prepared chocolate syrup on each layer along with chocolate icing / frosting. Finish decorating the cake with candy (toffee) topping, grated chocolate and sprinkles.
